Our never-ending thirst for knowledge and the ability to offer our patients the best possible range of treatments continues here at Gutierrez Orthodontics. From the day I entered dental school 21 years ago, I learned two things in great depth: First, how to gently use a needle to administer local anesthetic. Who knows this better than your own orthodontist, who performs these procedures dozens of times each week? Second, I did a year-long, in-depth dissection and study of the facial muscles, nerves, and arteries. In specialty Orthodontic & Dentofacial Orthopedics training I studied in great detail the Facial Esthetics, Growth and Development of Dentofacial structures and The Aging of the Face, TMJ, facial muscles and the muscles of mastication. Specifically, those muscles that lift our brows, that cause our jaw to move, and that give our lips the ability to rise as we smile. Our approach is not just straight teeth but the science and art of a beautiful smile which goes in depth with Facial Estethics.
Now in our efforts to serve our patient’s needs and keep up with technological changes, we strive to perform specific procedures as well as, or better than, any other health care provider. We at Gutierrez Orthodontics are offering therapeutic and cosmetic uses of Botox and dermal fillers.
I have invested considerable time and expense to ensure that our practice provides facial esthetic treatments in a world-class fashion. I have become a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and I continue to study and deepen my skill set to provide these services in the broadest sense.
Where does a smile end…with the teeth? With the lips? With the “smile lines” around the mouth? With the way your smile lines around your eyes look when you smile?
Lastly, who knows and understands better than your trusted orthodontic specialist, how a properly balanced and healthy smile should look? Who knows better how to offer total facial esthetics?
